2014 is going out with a bang in the Smokies
as Holiday activities continue right through the New Year. Plus there are on-going activities of note, so read on!

Winterfest is all a-glow as the three Smoky Mountain cities of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg, TN celebrate with millions of lights and light displays through February of 2015. You can ride the Trolley's in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg and get a guided tour of the best displays in each city.
Dollywood's "Smoky Mountain Christmas" continues through the first of the year as does Shadrack's "Christmas Wonderland" light, sound and music display at Smokies Stadium at I-40 and Exit 407 in Kodak, TN.
Foxfire Mountain is open for ziplining with a new line that is the second highest and longest in the United States, and several other ziplines and outdoor activities like horseback riding and go-karting are running full speed through the holidays. And, on top of the mountain, Ober Gatlinburg is open for skiing, ice skating and tubing.
If you don't get enough outdoor exercise you can visit 24/7 Workout Anytime, a new gym located in Governor's Crossing in Sevierville. Free weights, Matrix machines, Elliptical and Treadmills, Hydromassage and Tanning beds, locker room with showers, and trainers available to help you get into shape or stay in shape.
And gear-up to attend "Wilderness Wildlife Week" at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, the first week of January, 2015. If you have any interest in the out-of-doors this is the place to be as there are seminars, hikes and plenty of gear and merchandise to prepare you for your time outside.
There's plenty of live entertainment with theaters like "The Comedy Barn" "Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show" running on the weekends in January of 2015.

ARE YOU HUNGRY??
When you are visiting the Great Smoky Mountains you will work up a powerful appetite playing, shopping, and visiting all of the great things there are to see and do here in the Tennessee Smokies. But whether you are in Gatlinburg, Sevierville, or Pigeon Forge, there is a Collier Restaurant nearby that will take care of any hunger for almost any type of food.
Let's start with breakfast and with their own brand of breakfast houses called Flapjacks. You can find a Flapjack Pancake House in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and they do breakfast up right from early morning until about 1pm every day.
For lunch or dinner, you have many choices. Gatti's offers a pizza buffet AND an indoor arcade and TGI Fridays is in all three Smoky Mountain cities and their menu offers several specials with Jack Daniels sauces, a full menu of sandwiches and dinner entrees including steaks, seafood and pasta.
Corky's in Pigeon Forge does Memphis bar-b-que with the all the fixin's; and if it is buffet-style food you are seeking then you will find a Golden Corral in Sevierville and in Pigeon Forge. Their food is hot, delicious and plentiful!
Now for that special evening book a table or boot at The Melting Pot in Gatlinburg. They are located just above the TGI Friday's on the Parkway, and you can nibble on cheese or dessert selections, or go with several choices of cheeses, vegetables, meats, chicken or seafood, all cooked to your perfection right at your table.
If you are interested in a drink with your meal, you can enjoy alcoholic beverages at TGI Fridays and the Melting Pot. Both offer full bars, and wine and beer selections.

Bluff Mountain ATV is one of the most exciting, adventurous and best ways to see the trails and forests of the Smoky Mountains up close and personal. You are riding a 4-wheeled ATV crossing streams, going up hills, through valleys and immersed in the Smoky Mountain experience.
The first thing that happens is training. There is no experience needed as the guides at Bluff Mountain ATV will show you how to ride, how to manage your ATV safely, and will lead you along the one or two-hour trail ride. Your adventure includes the thrill of driving your own machine but also the glorious experience of seeing spectacular views and enjoying nature's wildlife and beauty. ring your camera or phone to record the sights and your activities of the ride.
There are four rides to choose from:
1. The Family Introductory Ride is great for beginners, families and for great views.
2. The Mountain Trail Adventure Ride goes to the top of the 2,300 foot bluff!
3. The Custom Trail Ride covers a lot of scenic trails with just you and your guide.
4. The Ridge Run is the most challenging ride on very rough terrain to challenge your skills.
