FLIGHTS LEAVING EARTH DAILY AT FLYAWAY IN THE SMOKIES
For those of you interested in flying, breaking the bonds of gravity, and doing so in a safe and fun environment, then you need to visit Flyaway Indoor Skydiving on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, TN. Flyaway has been taking people to the air for over 20 years and now it is YOUR turn to fulfill that dream of flight.
Indoor skydiving is really easy at Flyaway. Once you have signed up you watch a short instructional film which gives you flight and safety instructions. Then you suit-up into the special flight suit and safety equipment, and you proceed to the tower. The tower is a 3 story shaft with a giant fan at the base under a heavy-duty safety screen. Your instructor gives you some last minute advice and helps you into position. Then you basically dive into the column of air in a spread-eagle position and let the air do the rest.
Simply going up and down on the column of air is exciting as you are flying! But after a few minutes of adjustment you begin to experiment with different arm and leg positions and you can actually control your flight! UP and down, left and right, around and around you travel in the airdrome as you experience the wonders of flight. With even more experience you can do a few tricks to make the experience even more stimulating.
