Theater Smoky Mountain Opry

Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry Pigeon Forge     If you need some help getting into the holiday spirit, then spend an evening at the Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry. This live show is a joyous occasion of all things enjoyable about the Christmas season and the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Kids love the live Toy Soldiers and Toys     The Opry Christmas Show is a massive production with a rocking live band, lively and graceful dancers, comedy, special effects, laser lights and wonderful singers who do a lovely job bringing fun to each Christmas carol, and a decided reverence to the live Nativity scene, the largest in the area.

Theater with Largest Living Nativity Scene     The Nativity Scene is a spectacle unto itself. Shepherds, Wise Men on Camels bringing gifts, live animals and soaring angels present an awe-inspiring re-enactment of the birth of Jesus Christ in the manger in Bethlehem. The accompanying music enhances the scene as the flying angels sing joyfully in announcing the birth of the Prince of Peace.

Santa Claus at Smoky Mountain Opry in the Smokies     Kids will love the Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry show. There are Toy Soldiers and Christmas Toys who come to life and dance around the stage, Sugar Plum Fairies fly through the air, Elves dance and reindeer prance as they pull Santa's sleigh to center stage. And after the show you can greet Santa in the lobby and give him your Christmas list.

Comedian Juggler Slim Chance explains Frozen
Another kid - and adult favorite - is Slim Chance. Slim is a comedic juggler and he often brings a young child on stage to 'help' him with his act. Slim also tells the back story to the movie Frozen following the on-stage ice skating act, trying to give the audience members who haven't seen the movie some idea of what the animated movie is all about. Slim's interpretation is hilarious if not always accurate, but the children in the audience are captivated by his storytelling.
